When power is supplied, the motor kit actively holds the louvers open; once power is removed, the included tension springs pull the shutter back to a closed position.

For fully automatic operation, this shutter can be paired with an optional single-stage thermostat, such as the VC115-C. This allows the shutter to open and close automatically based on your specific temperature set points, ensuring your plants always have the ideal growing environment.
